October 13, 2016Can you feel it? Autumn is on its way, Houston! Our inbox has been flooded with newsletters and press releases touting fall’s ‘coolest’ new trends, and we wanted to share a few of our favorites with you!
Building a Better Bathroom
It may be too late to renovate your kitchen from top-to-bottom before the holidays arrive, but you can probably squeeze in a bathroom makeover before the guests arrive. Wood-Mode/Brookhaven Cabinetry are now offering furniture-inspired vanity bases in various combinations for your bathroom, and they can be ordered with or without bottom shelving. Take a look through the Wood-Mode/Brookhaven Bath Gallery to find the right style for you. These vanity bases are also available with doors and drawers, including an obstruction cutout for plumbing that provides a working under-sink drawer.
Add a “Warm Touch”
Speaking of bathrooms, another trend we love right now is high-tech bathroom accessories and appliances—particularly those that add a little luxury and comfort to our daily rituals. Create a spa-like atmosphere with ‘upgraded’ versions of everyday bathroom features, like these towel warmers by Kohler.
We also love the range of Kohler showerheads that also make it easy and affordable to upgrade your bathroom, particularly the Moxie showerhead with a built-in wireless speaker for just $200.
Choose Multiple Cabinet Door Styles to Add Visual Interest
Stop in to our new showroom at The Shoppes at Memorial Villages to see an example of this next trend in our own display kitchen! What Elle Décor calls the “mismatched cabinets” trend we’ll call the contrasting cabinets trend. Choose two contrasting, complimentary door styles to add visual interest when upgrading your kitchen cabinets. You could do this in other spaces as well; think recreation rooms, laundry rooms, and libraries.
