April 3, 2012We are all so excited for the upcoming Kitchen & Bath Industry Show, to be held in Chicago on April 24-26. This is one of our favorite industry events of the year, and we are always excited and inspired by the opportunity to share with fellow professionals.
Last year at KBIS, we were excited about innovations from companies like Kohler, Wood-Mode, and Element Design. We were also wowed by accessories for kitchen and bath; whether they were luxury options or easy, DIY versions, the versatility and style displayed were incredible.
There are a lot of great seminars this year which focus on some of our favorite topics, including universal design, using digital media for business, lighting, design inspiration, and European kitchen trends to name a few. In addition, many of our favorite exhibitors will be back—Kohler, Cosentino, Element Designs, and Sub Zero/Wolf—and we are excited to discover new companies who are pushing the envelope.
This year Candice Olsen (Divine Design, Candice Tells All; HGTV) will deliver the opening keynote address, in which she will discuss her kitchen and bath design experiences as well as the importance of creating a personal brand. We’re also excited about the specialty pavilions—appliances, cabinetry, hardware, natural stone & tile, sourcing, and international—which streamlines the conference process by allowing professionals to source information more productively; what a great way to increase efficiency and improve the research experience.
KBIS is introducing a collaboration station, which will have KBIS joining forces with the Custom Electronic Design & Installation Association (CEDIA) and the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) for seven, one-hour panel discussions. This cross-industry, collaborative approach will focus on providing a competitive edge to all of the trade partners involved.
Even if you are not an industry professional, the KBIS conference and the KBIS website are a repository of great information on the newest products and trends in kitchen and bath design. Stay tuned to the Cabinets & Designs blog in the upcoming weeks for all of the news from the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show.
