Five Ways to Give Back This Thanksgiving
November 12, 2014An Attitude of Gratitude for the Thanksgiving Season
November 26, 2014Did you know that many of our city’s amazing restaurants stay open for Thanksgiving? Imagine all the turkey (and then some) you can eat, with none of the clean-up duty! With Thanksgiving just a week away, we wanted to share with you some of Houston’s best options for dining out on Thanksgiving Day.
Quattro at the Four Seasons
Dine downtown on Thanksgiving Day at the Quattro at the Four Seasons. Chef Maurizio and his staff are preparing a Thanksgiving brunch with an Italian influence. Traditional turkey is on the menu, of course, but there’s lots more in store—polenta with mushrooms, antipasti, an omelet bar, and more.
Served 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Thursday, November 27, Quattro’s Thanksgiving Brunch is $89 for adults (includes complimentary mimosas and Bloody Marys) and $39 for kids under 12; kids under five eat free.
Au Petit Paris Bistro
Au Petit Paris Bistro is absolutely charming; a wonderful spot for an intimate Thanksgiving Day meal in the heart of Montrose. Serving three courses for $39.95, there are a variety of dishes in each course from which to choose. The bistro will serve from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day, and they are also offering pick-up service. Dining elsewhere on Thanksgiving? Au Petit Paris will be open for dinner on Black Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and would be the perfect place to unwind after a hard day of shopping.
Brennan’s Houston
If you choose to dine at Brennan’s on Thanksgiving, you have chosen a Houston institution. Brennan’s is serving a three-course prix fixe menu ($60 per person), on which you’ll find all the traditional flavors of Thanksgiving—and then some. Their famous Turtle Soup au Sherry is on the menu, along with delicious, fall-themed dishes like Autumn Cranberry Salad and Hunter’s Sorghum Roasted Duck. Brennan’s is serving Thanksgiving dinner all day, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Sullivan’s Steakhouse
Now that the Galleria is opening for Thanksgiving, brave holiday shoppers will need a place to stop and enjoy Thanksgiving dinner. Sullivan’s Steakhouse in the Galleria is offering a $39 prix fixe Thanksgiving Day menu from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Hand-carved roasted turkey with sweet onion apple-sage stuffing and gravy are on the menu, as well as a host of delicious side-dishes. Kids under 12 eat for $19.
Kiran’s Houston
Our neighbors, Kiran’s, are also serving Thanksgiving dinner this year, including their incredibly popular tandoori Turkey. The prix fixe menu features traditional Thanksgiving flavors with an Indian flair; $55 per person, $25 for children under 12.
Whether you dine at home, or celebrate out, have a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday!
