October 8, 2013One of the most popular events of the year is almost here! We are eagerly awaiting the 2013 AIA Home Tour, which will be held on Saturday, October 26 and Sunday, October 27. This is one of the most interesting and exciting events of the year, and we can’t wait to see the seven homes selected to take part in this year’s tour.
About the AIA Home Tour
The AIA Home Tour is an annual event, open to the public, which showcases the finest residential architecture in the Houston area, as designed by licensed architects. Houses are chosen to showcase a variety of design styles, demonstrating that excellence in design is not limited by size or money.
The tour attracts more than 3000 attendees each year, and runs from noon through 6 p.m. each day. Tours are self-guided; a two-day pass costs $25, a two-day pass for cyclists is $20, and single-house tickets are $10 each.
Volunteers
If you volunteer for three hours as a Docent on the Home Tour, you earn a free Home Tour Ticket and an invitation to the exclusive Appreciation Party sponsored by Mason’s Mill & Lumber Co.
