On Trend 2016: High End Appliances
March 23, 2016Moving Pains: Managing Expectations and Our Own Remodeling Timeline
April 6, 2016The move to our new showroom at The Shoppes at Memorial Villages is just two weeks away, and the Cabinets & Designs team is bustling with activity! We’ll miss our home on Westheimer, but we are looking forward to our new beginning on Wirt Road—particularly the opportunity to create a new showroom from scratch.
One of our goals over the last several months has been shopping for and selecting products and materials for our new showroom. We’ve looked at big appliances and small finishes and everything in between, and yet we still haven’t talked about cabinetry. We promise to do a final “big reveal” here on the blog, after installation, but in the meantime we thought this would be the perfect time for a quick refresher on Wood-Mode cabinetry.
Made—beautifully–in the U.S.A.
Cabinets & Designs President Maria Frank travelled to Kreamer, Pennsylvania two years ago for a five-day “immersion” course in Wood-Mode and Brookhaven. Maria was able to see first-hand the extensive process of hand-finishing and quality control that goes into every Wood-Mode and Brookhaven cabinet the company manufactures. It’s not enough to be made in the U.S.A.—to be Wood-Mode it must be made to perfection.
Diversity to suit any style
Whether your style is classic or contemporary, Wood-Mode has a cabinet to suit any aesthetic. You can customize your cabinets by choosing wood species, door styles, and high-quality finishes to achieve a look that is all your own. For homeowners on a budget, Wood-Mode’s Brookhaven line is a wonderful option; choose from contemporary frameless or traditional framed construction.
Wood-Mode is also regularly updating their options, adding new styles and wood species to give customers the most options possible. They recently added new door styles and colors—learn what’s new with Wood-Mode in 2016. (So far!)
Commitment to the environment
Sustainability has been at the core of Wood-Mode’s mission since the very beginning. Today they hold the certification for the Environmental Stewardship Program (ESP) through the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association (KCMA). To qualify for and maintain this certification is a rigorous process, but a commitment to using sustainable practices—and materials—is central to the way Wood-Mode does business. Wood-Mode is dedicated to protecting the environment and creating a high quality product, so that we can enjoy both for years to come.
