December 31, 2014What’s New with Wood-Mode
January 14, 2015Here at Cabinets & Designs, we are hitting the ground running in 2015! One of our favorite annual events, the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS) is being held at the end of January in Las Vegas. KBIS never fails to inspire our staff with the most innovative new products, and the hottest trends in home renovation. Here is a sneak peek at what’s coming up at this year’s KBIS/IBS.
KBIS NeXT™
Located in the South Hall at the Las Vegas Convention Center, KBIS NeXT™ will feature a full-scale stage with though-provoking, inspired programming, including panel discussions, major award announcements, and more. KBIS NeXT™ is the conference destination for discovering the latest trends and innovations in the industry.
Voices from the Industry
We have more than 90 sessions to choose from over the three-day KBIS event, including “Voices from the Industry” presentations. We can’t wait to hear from our colleagues and peers on a variety of current topics and trends, which are aligned with NKBA University’s learning paths: Design & Inspiration, Focus on the Customer, Business Management, and Sales & Marketing.
New Products
One of the biggest highlights of KBIS is checking out the latest kitchen and bath products on display. We’ve already got our eye on a few products featured on the KBIS website:
- Kohler’s new Sensate faucet features a super-sensitive touchless capability that can respond in 20 milliseconds for consistent and reliable on/off operation, as well as the ability to tweak water temperature and flow.
- These bold sinks are a collaboration between Kohler and designer Jonathan Adler, and includes four special-edition colors available on six enameled cast iron kitchen and bathroom sinks.
- There are a couple of items from SIlestone we can’t wait to see. First, their new matte finish Suede, for their line of natural quartz surfaces; easy to maintain and reduces the appearance of fingerprints, Suede starts at $55/square foot. Second, Silestone’s new Stonium series of quartz is inspired by distinctive coloring and movement found in natural stone.
This is just a small sampling of what KBIS 2015 has in store for us later this month. Check back in February for KBIS highlights from our staff, and don’t forget to connect with us on Facebook, Twitter, and Houzz.
