As we make progress in the new Cabinets & Designs showroom, we have the opportunity to shine a spotlight on some of our favorite products and trends for 2016. Not long ago we talked about what’s hot in the high-end appliance market; appliances are more energy efficient than ever, and more and more homeowners are opting for products that reach professional—or nearly professional—standards. Not only are our ovens burning hotter and our freezers staying colder, all of our appliances are getting smarter—think smart refrigerators with touchscreen capability and dishwashers you can set from your mobile device.
In the Kitchen: Wolf + Wood-Mode
Our new Wood-Mode feature kitchen is slowly but surely coming together, and part of that process includes the installation of Wolf appliances. When it comes to professional-grade ovens and cooktops, Wolf is the gold industry standard our clients request time and time again.
Wolf: What’s New, What’s Hot
What’s hot at Wolf? In a word: food. One of Wolf’s most exciting new products is their first-ever induction range, which debuted at the 2016 Architectural Digest Design Show in New York City. The popularity of induction cooking at home has exploded, and in response Wolf developed a sleek and efficient version all their own. Using pan-sensing technology, the induction range wastes virtually no heat during cooking as energy is applied only to the pan; electromagnetic fields heat only induction-compatible cookware so the cooktop stays relatively cool to the touch.
You’ll love the low-maintenance, easy-to-clean surface, and the signature Wolf dual convection oven the induction range also features; ten cooking modes will mean each dish is perfect, from soup to nuts.
Keeping Cool with Sub-Zero
Our Sub-Zero refrigerators are on the floor, and we’re waiting for the cabinet units around them to be installed. As each piece of our showroom comes together, a beautiful new whole is emerging, and featuring brands we believe in gives us great pride. We recently found yet another reason to love Sub-Zero: their #FreshFoodMatters initiative, which raises money to benefit Katie’s Krops, a network of youth-run gardens in 35 states.
