With so much to do before the holidays arrive, it might seem crazy to be looking all the way ahead to January, but we just can’t help it—we’re already getting excited for KBIS 2016 in Las Vegas! Cabinets & Designs president Maria Frank will be traveling to Nevada for the biggest and best industry show of the year, and as always we’ll be sharing event highlights, favorite products, and the hottest trends for the coming year.
The Kitchen and Bath Industry Show—or KBIS—is the voice of the kitchen and bath industry, and attending is certainly a highlight of our year. The opportunity to connect with experts and colleagues from across the country is invaluable; we bring back the very best innovations in design, technology, and sustainability to help you create the home of your dreams. Year after year, KBIS gives us the chance to learn, ask questions, and compare products side-by-side, to give you, the homeowner, a superior remodeling experience.
Learning at KBIS
Continuing education at KBIS includes the Voices From the Industry (VFTI) sessions. All sessions are aligned with one of the NKBA University learning paths—Design & Inspiration, Focus on the Customer, Business Management, and Sales & Marketing. These sessions give us the chance to hear from our peers—industry leaders in their chosen fields—and interact on a variety of current topics and trends in kitchen and bath.
Products & Trends: The Exhibit Floor
We always look forward to a close examination of what’s new on the exhibit floor at KBIS. Each year we find new products and innovations from companies new to us, and old friends like Wood-Mode Cabinetry. We’re interested to see the Virginia Tech FutureHAUS Bathroom—a working prototype will be on the exhibit floor, displaying “a truly integrated bathroom of the future” with new technology, and the promise to “enhance the daily routines experienced in the bathroom.” It’s a must-see!
Best of KBIS
Finally, we love to see who ends up winning the Best of KBIS awards each year. We have our own picks that emerge as we stroll the exhibit floor, and we’re always anxious to see if our choices end up winning the big prizes! Make sure to stop by the Cabinets & Designs blog at the end of January to read Maria’s reports from KBIS 2016.
