The team here at Cabinets & Designs is so looking forward to our annual trip to the Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS), being held this year in New Orleans. Several members of our staff will be traveling to the Big Easy for the show, April 19-21. We look forward to this trip every year, and it is very exciting that it will be held so close, and in such a wonderful city. We love New Orleans!
Attending KBIS allows us to learn from fellow professionals in the remodeling and custom building community. Connecting with our colleagues helps us stay abreast of trends and industry innovations. By staying ahead of the curve, we bring you the best new products, the trends you want us to translate into your home designs, and the innovations that will become the hottest new trends in a year or two (if not sooner!).
The KBIS show is about more than just “rooms” and “products”, just like a home is more than the sum of its parts. As designers, we want to think about the homes and rooms in which we live—you, our client, and us, at home with our own families—and to learn how to turn them into spaces where our lives are carried out, with meaning.
How does urban living differ from suburban? How do the needs of empty nesters differ from those of new families? How can we design outdoor spaces that are functional, and freeing at the same time? How can we create a home that addresses both the practical concerns of everyday life, and the need for a place to escape the stresses of that same everyday life? These are the kinds of questions we can think about and talk about with our colleagues from across the country, and the answers help us to design your dream homes.
