Next on the agenda was an entertainment wall in the adjoining family room that would showcase a favorite painting. The original cabinetry only rose to a height of approximately 7-8’ because of air vents in the wall above the media center. The decision was made to relocate the vents and carry the cabinetry to the ceiling line. The same Barcelona door was used here to tie into the adjacent kitchen. The result was a striking arrangement of cabinetry that housed all the media equipment. The surprise of the media center – only the cabinets under the TV section and to the right side are the only storage areas. The return air chase is located in the hallway behind the left side.
