Here are some organizations we are proud to work with, belong to, and collaborate with on the local, regional, and national level.
The National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA)
The
National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA) is the premier association for kitchen and bath professionals, with a membership of over 50,000. NKBA sponsors the annual Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS), which is always one of the most exciting industry shows for kitchen and bath professionals.
Each year representatives from Cabinets & Designs attend the KBIS show to learn, grow, and network.
NKBA serves the kitchen and bath industry professionals as well as providing resources for consumers; they continue to set the industry standard, always with an eye toward the future.
Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA)
On a local level, the
Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) is a trade association whose members are involved in the development, homebuilding, and remodeling industry across seven counties in the greater Houston area. The GHBA is the largest home builders association (HBA) in Texas, and the fourth largest in the country.
Through a combination of political activism, continuing education, and community building, the
GHBA is dedicated to growing the homebuilding and remodeling industry right here in Houston.
American Society of Interior Designers (ASID)
The
American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) combines a common love of design, a commitment to the power of interior design to positively affect lives, and an investment in education and community building to engage their over 30,000 members toward professional betterment. By promoting the value of interior design, ASID inspires and enriches members, who pass on their expertise through the creation of beautiful residential and commercial interiors.
The ASID is committed to, and enumerates, a strict code of ethics that enforces responsibility to the public, the client, colleagues, the profession, and the employer.
American Institute of Architects (AIA)
The
American Institute of Architects (AIA) counts almost 300 state and local chapters under its national umbrella, all of which serve as the voice of the architecture profession. Through advocacy, information, and community outreach the AIA sponsors continuing education, sets industry standards through contracting, offers Web-based resources for professionals, conducts market research, and more.
As an advocate of the architecture profession, and a commitment to design excellence and outstanding professional achievement, the AIA has created a responsive, vibrant community of architecture professionals whose goal is to design functional, beautiful homes using the most current best practices available.
Better Business Bureau (BBB)
The
Better Business Bureau (BBB) is probably among the most familiar of these organizations, and offers resources for consumers and businesses, as well as for non-profit charities and donors. The mission of the BBB is to be the leader in advancing marketplace trust, and in order to accomplish this goal, the BBB:
• Creates a community of trustworthy businesses
• Sets standards for marketplace trust
• Encourages and supports best practices
• Celebrates marketplace role models, and;
• Denounces substandard marketplace behavior
