Dave Steffan, Sr. President and Founder of Cabinets & Designs Dave established Wood-Mode in the Houston market in 1966 as the first Wood-Mode dealer in the Houston area and in 1971 became the representative for all of Central and South Texas and opened Cabinets & Designs in 1972. Dave is still actively involved in all aspects of the business and works with his daughter, Maria Frank to continue the tradition of Cabinets & Designs.

Maria Frank, Vice President Maria shares a passion with her father, Dave Steffan, for continuing the tradition of Cabinets & Designs. As a family business since 1972 it is her mission to honor what thousands of customers have come to expect, superior products and exceptional customer service. She manages the company but makes time to personally see that each customer’s experience is a memorable one.

Maggie Grants Maggie has enjoyed more than 20 years as a kitchen designer in the Wood-Mode family. Having a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design, Maggie received her Certified Kitchen Design certificate in 1989 and continues to create beautiful and functional spaces for new and long time clients.

Robert E. Crellen With over 50 year’s experience, Bob brings a plethora of experience to Cabinets & Designs. A strong architectural and interior design background has allowed Bob to design kitchens for Presidents and business leaders. You’ll find Bob’s personal touch and influence on many homes nationally and internationally.

Laura Scott, CKD With 20 years of experience as a Certified Kitchen Designer and a passion for the construction business, Laura Scott designs and sells unique Wood-Mode kitchens and baths for clients in Northwest Houston and The Woodlands. She is also the Past-President of the NKBA Texas Gulf Coast Chapter

Grace Coffman, AKBD With over 12 years industry experience, Grace’s services include everything that is required to plan a new kitchen, bath or closet, whether the project is new construction, a remodel, or an existing space. Grace is also an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers and the National Kitchen and Bath Association.

David Johnston David brings 37 years of experience to our team. He became a CKD through the National Kitchen and Bath Association in 1978. David designs not only kitchens and baths but also entertainment centers, home offices, sewing rooms and other special need areas.

Ashley Scherch Ashley graduated from The Ohio State University with a degree in Interior Design. She has a creative approach on kitchen and bath design while focusing on function and timeless aesthetics. Her fresh outlook and enthusiastic personality bring a new dimension to today’s design world.
