On April 28, 2018, volunteers from the GHBA Remodelers Council gathered at Wellsprings Village in southwest Houston for the annual RMC Charity Work Day. Wellsprings Village is a nonprofit organization offering aid to homeless and abused women in Houston—transitional housing, plus support services such as food, clothing, transportation, job education, and more.

Memorial Day Weekend is just around the corner, and you know what that means—the annual AIA Sand Castle Weekend in Galveston! For more than twenty years, teams have been bringing their sand castle-building skills to East Beach in Galveston for one of the largest sand castle competitions in the world. The Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) is the largest home builders association in Texas, and the third-largest nationwide. Cabinets & Designs’ President Maria Frank is an active member of the GHBA Remodelers Council; in her role as Education Chair of TRC, Maria helps promote excellence and professionalism within the organization, and awareness of the Remodelers Council to the general public. Further, the Council’s yearly calendar includes many events that are designed to bring members of the remodeling community together to lend a helping hand to worthy organizations in and around Houston.
